Before we started, we did a quick survey to get an idea why people were attending.
What we discovered was that the majority of attendees were existing users of SharePoint that were looking to upgrade to SharePoint 2013, based on our previous experience this wasn’t much of a surprise.
It was interesting to learn that a number of organisations were still using SharePoint 2003 and SharePoint 2007.
It is important to note that both SharePoint 2003 and SharePoint 2007 (and their associated products) are no longer covered by Microsoft under mainstream support.
- SharePoint Portal Server 2003 : Mainstream Support ended on 14th April 2009
- Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 : Mainstream Support ended on 9th October 2012
